The Washington Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (WAFCS)
is an organization of professionals whose careers focus on improving the quality and standards of individuals, families and communities. Formerly knows as the Washington Home Economics Association, members of include elementary, secondary, post-secondary home and family life educators, extension educators and administrators; professionals in government, business and non-profit sectors; and pre-professional students.

The mission of WAFCS is to provide leadership and services to
our members,promote advocacy, and develop partnershipsand alliances to enable communities, empower individuals, and strengthen families.

WAFCS is an affiliate of the
American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences
